We have more than 40 years of experience in teaching and learning about ecology and natural history. We have particular expertise in myrmecology (the study of ants) and the ecology of carnivorous plants and forests of the New England (USA) region. We have also worked extensively studying coastal plants and mangrove forests in Belize, rainforests in Costa Rica, and ants in Brazil and Germany.

We offer in-person and online presentations, workshops, and short courses about ants and carnivorous plants to audiences of all levels, from pre-K through lifelong learners, and from hobbyists and enthusiasts through professional scientists and natural-resource managers.

We also can:

  • Identify ants and carnivorous plants;
  • Help you learn how to grow carnivorous plants and rear ants;
  • Advise you on how to encourage troublesome ants to go elsewhere and leave you alone.
